Abstract

536,332. Sliding-clasp fasteners. GRANT, H. B., and LIGHTNING FASTENERS, Ltd. Nov. 3, 1939, No. 29302. [Class 44] In a sliding clasp fastener of the kind in which the pull member 14 of the slider has one or more locking prongs 18 for engagement with the fastener elements, a projection 17 on the pull member coacts with a leaf spring 11 on the slider to urge 14 into any one of two or more positions in which the prong engages or disengages the fasteners. The pull member is hinged to lugs 8, 8a on the slider. The spring 11 may be replaced by a resilient or resiliently mounted plunger in the slider.
