Abstract

432,088. Sliding - clasp fastenings. RI-RI-WERK PATENTVERSCHLUSS GES., Wichlinghausen, Wuppertal, Germany. Feb. 4, 1935, No. 3599. Convention date, Feb. 27, 1934. [Class 44] The slider of a sliding- clasp fastener is automatically locked by a member loosely mounted in the top plate of the slider and also providing a bearing for the pull - tab. A plate 9 formed with a locking lug 10 to engage between the elements on the stringers is loosely mounted in a channel 15 in the top plate 8 of the slider, being retained therein by lugs 14, and is pressed against the elements by a leaf spring 16, or by a resilient extension 17, Fig. 4 ; the plate has a dovetail portion 12 projecting above the top plate 8 of the slider to receive the axle of the pull tab 13.
