[Class 64 (iii)] In a heat exchanger having plates arrangec side by side and separated by packing 1 the plates have corrugations arranged in the direction of flow of the liquid between the plates to reduce the thickness of the layer of liquid relatively to the distance between the edges of the plates as determined by the packing.
