[Class 64 (iii)] Spaced cast iron plates 1 are formed with flanges 5, 4 at the top and bottom and sides to enclose alternate horizontal and vertical passages, and with horizontal and vertical ribs 2, 3, projecting into the passages. The flanges 5 on superposed elements are formed wth engaging projections 5d and recesses 5a, and the edges of the flanges 4 are formed with recesses 4a receiving packing 7.
