[Class 64 (iii)] In a heat exchanger intended particularly for heating milk and consisting of plates so pressed as to form with intermediate plane plates continuous zigzag channels g extending from corner to corner of the plates, which are grooved at their edges to receive packing rings d, to prevent short circuiting between the limbs of the channels, each plane plate is formed with projections i to close the depressions a in the pressed plates corresponding to the pressed-out portions bounding the packing grooves.
