Abstract
538,018. Tubular heat exchangers. MORRIS MOTORS, Ltd., DONO, G. E., and STILL, E. W. Dec. 15, 1939, Nos. 32312/39, 7251/40 and 10712/40. [Class 64 (iii)] In a -liquid cooler having thin metal tubes b of flat cross-section and with metal gill plates a, each tube contains a thin corrugated metal strip d serving to strengthen the tube and to divide its interior into a number of parallel passages. The corrugated strip may be made from sheet metal or from fine wire gauze. The gill plates may be corrugated.
