[Class 64 (iii)] A plate heat-exchanger having fluid spaces of reduced cross-section towards their ends is formed of peripherally-ribbed thick plates 10 having fluid ports 13, 14 and separated by thin plates 21, Fig. 4, formed with longitudinal corrugations 25, 26, Fig. 5, and fluid ports 22, 23. The thick plates are provided with gaskets 12, 16, and the plates are assembled as shown in Fig. 6. Specification 472,695 is referred to.
