Abstract

534,634. Lubricating systems. TRICO PRODUCTS CORPORATION. Sept. 7, 1939, No. 25342. Convention date, April 1. [Class 12 (iii)] Lubricating oil is supplied under pressure to bearings of a motor vehicle engine by a gear wheel pump 32, 33 connected to a reservoir by a pipe 14, and part is drawn from the pipe 14 through a branch pipe 22, an oil purifier and air separator 21 and a pipe 23 by a second gear wheel pump 38, 39 provided with an air intake 42 connectable to any suction operated device, e.g. a fuel pumping device, signal, windscreen wiper or air horn. The purified oil seals the air pumping mechanism and is discharged with the air through a pipe 28 to the crankcase. The pump shafts 34, 44 are driven from the engine and may be a continuation, one of the other.
