Abstract

533,280. Lamp-holders. BRITISH THOMSON-HOUSTON CO., Ltd. Oct. 27, 1939, No. 28814. Convention date, Oct. 28, 1938. [Class 38 (i)] An adapter for carrying a reflector to convert a lamp tc indirect lighting, consists of an insulating body 10 made in twc identical halves, the central section 13 contain a lampsocket 24 and the lower end a plug 31 to fit a supply socket, the upper end 14 constituting a shield surrounding part of the lamp and carrying a reflector 11 to surround the remainder. The twc halves of the body are held together by the contact shell 33 and by the reflector 11 which is held against a shoulder 39 by a spring ring 37 that snaps into a groove 36. The socket 24 is connected to the shell 33 by a strip 29 laid in notches 18, 31 and the centre contacts are formed by the bent ends 22, 23 of a strip 21 laid in notches 17, 20.
