Abstract

533,212. Wall and ceiling coverings. INKLEY, B. July 3, 1939, No. 19339. [Class 20 (iv)] Insulating or similar sheet or slab covering for walls &c. is attached to bent sheet-metal T-shaped frame members 1 by means which is engageable with or integral with the web of the T-shaped member and penetrates the edges of the covering material, which are directly supported by the flanges of frame members. The means may be in the form of a tapered plate 2 which is wide at its centre and which passes through an aperture in the web 1 of the frame member and is locked therein, its ends penetrating the edges of the boards 4 on both sides. Alternatively pointed tangs 5 may be pressed out from the metal of the web of the T-frame member or welded therein. The flanges of the frame members may be grooved to form drainage channels as described in Specification 478,439. Specification 520,343 also is referred to.
