Abstract
532,793. Valve amplifying circuits. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DES PROCEDES LOTH. Sept. 20, 1939, Nos. 26271 and 26272. Convention dates, Sept. 23, 1938 and Oct. 21, 1938. [Class 40 (v)] In a multi-stage amplifier wherein at least two of the stages that are bridged by negative feedback circuit are coupled by means of a cathode impedance. The Figure shows a push-pull amplifier with the output stage fed from cathode resistances 6 and with feedback applied from the output to the input. The resistances 6 may be arranged in series with inductance so as to reduce the voltage drop while maintaining the impedance large compared with the valve output impedance. The intervalve couplings are preferably such as to ensure constant phase displacement for all working frequencies. The invention is particularly applicable to high power class-B amplifiers.
