Abstract
529,622. Knitting-machines. INTERNATIONALER MARATTI - MASCHINENVERKAUF AKT.- GES. June 5, 1939, No. 16447. Convention date, June 4, 1938. [Class 74 (ii)]. Relates to circular warp machines with latch needles operated by a rotary cam cylinder. The warp thread crossings are brought to the needle hooks, which may be angular, by means of a number of exchangeable unit members. In one form, each unit comprises a smooth or toothed wheel rg carried on a vertical shaft a rotatable in a bearing l fixed to the cam cylinder k. This wheel may be radially or otherwise tricked to carry pushers which act on the thread crossings. Alternatively, a cam plate fixed to the cylinder k may be used. The needles are drawn down to take the warps in two stages and the thread crossings are operated on by the pushers &c. at the end of the first stage. The warps pass through tensions which are resilient in two directions, i.e. radially and circumferentially.
