527,929. Spring upholstery. HOLLAND, P., and HOLLAND, H. April 22, 1939, No. 12138. [Class 52 (iv)] A spring seating comprises a plurality of wires 6 each coiled at intervals to form helices 7, 8, the non-coiled parts being crossed by non-coiled wires 10 or the non-coiled parts of wires similar to the wires 6, and coiled compression springs 2 mounted at the places where these wires cross by threading the bottom coils under and over the wires. The ends of the wires 6 are connected to brackets attached to the frame and the compression springs may support a wire mesh. Kinks are formed in the wires 6, 10 where they cross one another to prevent lateral movement of the compression springs.
