Abstract

173,358. Wright, C. J. Oct. 15, 1920. Spring mattresses.-A spring cushion, mattress, or seat comprises a number of parallel spring wires A extending across a supporting frame C to which are fixed rods B on which the ends of the wires are coiled. Adjacent wires are connected together by tie-wires F. Fig. 1 shows a seat with the ends A<6> of each spring wire abutting against the frame. Fig. 2 shows a seat with the ends of the spring wires extended, bent, and coiled to form extra bows D at the front of the seat and extra bows E which form a seat back.
