Abstract
1,119,903. Spring upholstery. AIRSPRUNG Ltd. 3 Jan., 1967, No. 408/67. Heading A4M. In a spring unit for a divan base rows of spaced,- conical coil springs have their larger diameter top coils 18 interconnected by wire 16 each associated with only a single row, each wire 16 having a single open-looped portion 17 which is secured by first laying the loop 17 over the coil 18 and then bending the loop 17 completely around the coil 18 so that the apex 19 of the loop 17 lies over the top coil 18. The smaller diameter, lower ends of the springs are supported on cross members (5) of a rectangular divan frame (4) and are anchored by cross-wires (6) secured by staples (7) to the cross-members (5).
