1374685 Mattresses SPRING ASSOCIATES Inc 7 Aug 1972 [3 Jan 1972] 36784/72 Heading A4M A spring base for a bed comprises a plurality of coil springs 30 each having a closed upper turn 32 secured to a grid defined by longitudinal and transverse rods 22, 24 welded together at their intersections 26, the end turn 32 being clamped between pairs of longitudinal and transverse rods 22, 24 respectively bearing on the under and upper sides of the end turn 32. The lower end 33 of each spring is engaged by a crimp 38 in a bottom frame 36.
