PULLMAN FLEXOLATORS Ltd 26 July 1973 [12 July 1972] 32682/72 Heading A4M A divan base structure comprises rows of upright springs 12 mounted on supports in a base frame 10, 11, longitudinal and transverse series of parallel webs 13, 14 engaging the top coils of the springs, and an insulator pad 15 over-lying the springs 12 and webs 13, 14 and secured to the frame 10, 11, the pad 15 comprising parallel bands 16 interposed between the webs 13 or 14 of one or other of the series, a series of parallel cross-wires 17 penetrating the bands 16, and two outermost members 18 to which the ends of the cross-wires 17 are secured are which are themselves secured, as at 19, at spaced points along opposed sides 10 or ends 11 of the frame, the points along one of the opposed parts 10 or 11 being staggered in relation to the points on the other opposed part. The knots 12A of the top crib are disposed beneath the bands 13. The outermost members 18 comprise twisted paper cards reinforced by steel wire.
