527,866. Alloys. HANDY & HARMAN. April 21, 1939, No. 12095. Convention date, April 23. 1938. [Class 82 (i)] An alloy particularly for use as a solder for stainless steels or irons consists of 40-70 per cent. of silver, 20-50 per cent. of copper, 5-15 per cent. of manganese, 2-7.5 per cent. of nickel, and 0.15-0.4 per cent. of silicon. In making the alloy, the silicon may be added in the form of a 20 per cent. silicon-copper alloy. Specification 527,865 is referred to.
