Abstract
A solder, particularly for use with rustless or stainless iron or steel alloys consists of 4-80 per cent of silver, 1-40 per cent of manganese and 10-70 per cent of copper. Up to about 1 per cent of a deoxidizing agent such as aluminium, silicon, or phosphorus may be present; for example 0,5 per cent of phosphor copper may be added. The solder may be used with a flux of a fluoride and boric acid or a borate for example 60 per cent of powdered borax glass and 40 per cent of potassium fluoride. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 414,213.
