Fluxes.-A flux for the welding and soldering of aluminium and other metals comprises boracic acid, or a mixture of borax and boracic acid, and free caustic alkali such as caustic potash. In an .example the flux contains equal parts of borax, boracic acid, and caustic potash and may be used in the form of an aqueous solution.
