527,865. Alloys. HANDY & HARMAN. April 21, 1939, No. 12094. Convention date, April 23,1938. [Class 82 (i)] An alloy particularly for use as a solder for stainless steels comprises 40-60 per cent of silver, 5-15 per cent. of manganese, 10-30 per cent. of zinc, 2-7.5 per cent. of nickel, and 0.15-0.4 per cent. of silicon, with or without up to 15 per cent. of copper. In making the alloy, the silicon may be added in the form of 20 per cent. siliconcopper.
