Abstract
526,731. Alloys. MARCONI'S WIRELESS TELEGRAPH CO., Ltd. March 27, 1939, No. 9469. Convention date, March 25, 1938. Drawings to Specification. [Class 82 (i)] A secondary electron emissive electrode is formed of, or rendered emissive by the application of, an alloy of magnesium with one or more other metals, for example gold with up to 30 per cent. of magnesium, or copper with up to 16 per cent. of magnesium, or silver with up to 20 per cent. of magnesium. An electron multiplier in which the electrode is used may be of the type described in Specification 499,665, [Group XL], and in making it, the envelope including the electrode may be heated at about 450C. and evacuated.
