526,087. Loudspeaker circuits. NAAMLOOZE VENOOTSCHAP PHILIPS' GLOEILAMPENFABRIEKEN. March 8, 1939, No. 7541. Convention date, Feb. 25, 1939. Drawings to Specification. [Class 40 (iv)] A loudspeaker is coupled to a broadcast distribution network through a transformer which is tapped on the secondary side to provide volume control and which is such that in the event of a short-circuit in the loud-speaker circuit, the primary impedance is of the same order as when the control is adjusted for maximum volume. The primary winding has large self-induction and small leakage inductance and capacity so as to give a linear frequency characteristic. A further transformer may be inserted between the secondary winding and the loudspeaker.
