Abstract

525,989. Adjustable seats. COX, R. W. March 4, 939, No. 7191. [Class 52 (ii)] Relates to an adjustable seat frame particularly for vehicles, of the kind wherein the seat frame a is pivotally supported by the upper ends of angularly adjustable front and rear links b, d adapted to permit horizontal adjustment of the frame as a whole and vertical adjustment of the rear part of the frame. According to the invention the frame and the front supporting link or links b are locked by a connecting link or links f. The link f has notches g any one of which may be engaged with a projection h on the link b. A spring p assists movement of the frame in one direction. The horizontal and vertical movements of the frame may be effected simultaneously as in the construction shown in Fig. 1, or independently as shown in Fig. 2 wherein the rear link is provided with a roller n movable on a guide o by means of a telescopic screw-mechanism k.
