Abstract

1403902 High chair LAWRENCE WILSON & SON Ltd 3 July 1973 [4 April 1972] 15524/72 Heading A4J A high chair which is foldable into a substantially flat form comprises a support frame 10 along which a frame 12 carrying a seat unit 14 is adjustably mounted. Adjustment of the frame 12 is effected by the release of a pin 34 provided on each of the front legs of the support frame 12 from one of a series of apertures in each of the links 26 of the frame 12 and the sliding of stirrups 28 along the front legs, the stirrups being pivoted to the lower ends of the limbs 26 and embracing the front legs. A movable ring 30 which is held against accidental displacement by a spring-biased safety catch 36, 38 holds the two frames together to prevent accidental movement between the two frames. In a second embodiment each of the front legs is provided with a U-shaped bracket 44 engaging one of a series of studs 42 provided on the limbs 26, a safety catch 46 preventing accidental release of the stud from the bracket. A tray (54), Fig. 5 (not shown) may be releasably held in one of a number of positions on the frame 12.
