Abstract

623,225. Seats. STRINGER, J. Jan. 30, 1947, No. 2870. [Class 52 (ii)] A seat which automatically adjusts itself to the attitude of the occupant comprises a seat proper and a seat-back each of which is pivoted intermediate of its ends. As shown a box portion B having seat upholstery A is provided with lugs C by means of which the portion B is pivoted by means of pivots G to a fixed frame F having thickened portions D on its flanges E. Springs J at the four corners are provided. Similarly a box P having seat back upholstery O is provided with lugs Q for pivoting by pivots T on the flanges of a fixed frame L.
