[Class 52(iv)] In an upholstered seat the seat cover 11 has a stiffening rod 15 along its rear edge connected to the frame by expansion springs 21. The rod ends may extend beyond the cover and enter slots in the frame members and for this purpose may be provided with pointed or knife-edged ends.
