Abstract
823,412. Folding chairs. LLOYD & MEIER Ltd. Aug. 27, 1957 [Aug. 27, 1956], No. 26119/56. Class 52(2) In an X-form deck-chair the strut frame is pivoted to one frame and has shackles 9 pivoted to its other end, notches 10' on the other frame engaging with the lower ends of the shackles whidh thus form hangers. As shown in Fig. 1, the strut frame 5 is pivoted at 6 to the lower back frame and the notches are formed on the undersurface of the upper back frame which is embraced by the shackles 9. As shown. in Fig. 5, the strut frame is pivoted to the upper back frame and the notches are formed on the upper surface of the lower back frame. The shackle pivots are respectively above and below the notches 10 in the chairs of Figs. 1 and 5.
