Abstract

454,639. Seats ; seat adjustments. KENNINGTON, W. 0., 111, Grosvenor Road, Westminster. April 30, 1935, No. 12868. [Class 52 (ii)] A vehicle seat comprises a frame a, Figs. 2 and 8, and a network t resiliently supported on the frame, for example, by springs u, and producing an anatomically shaped surface for the seat and back, the frame being pivoted to a base frame b on a transverse axis below the rear of the seat part, and supported at the front on damped spring means, for example, rubber discs m mounted between a part j attached to the seat frame and washers n carried by a rod which is preferably adjustable in a socket k on the base frame. The rod is locked in adjusted position by means of a rod o, the inner end of which engages between teeth formed on the lower part of the rod. The base frame b slides in guides c, Fig. 3, and is locked in adjusted position by engagement of a latch member e carried by a rod f in slots d in one guide c.
