525,074. Windscreen wipers. WINGARD (M. A.), Ltd., and VINCENT, C. B. Feb. 14, 1939, No. 4782. [Class 138 (i)] A fitting for attaching different forms of wiper arms to the blades comprises an inverted U-shaped clamp a, Fig. 2, fitted with a screw g and enclosing an anvil member b, the clamp and anvil being secured to the blade f by a common detachable pivot e. The anvil is provided with projections k and its edges are turned inwards to form a groove h, Fig. 5. An adaptor v, Fig. 14, with a projection x may be fitted to the anvil for certain forms of arm. Specification 524,235 is referred to.
