Abstract
525,047. Arrangement of spinning and like machines, and machines for subsequent treatment of threads. SCHNEIDER, H. Feb. 14, 1939, No. 4868. Convention date, April 20, 1938. [Class 120 (ii)] In a thread-forming machine having interchangeable lifter plates or bobbin carriers and doffing mechanism combined with a machine for the subsequent treatment of the thread arranged relatively to the thread-forming machine so that the full bobbins in position on the doffing mechanism are positioned so as to act as creels for the second machine, the second machine is arranged laterally of the threadforming machine and guide means are provided so that the threads from the forming-machine proceed to the second machine approximately in the longitudinal direction of the forming- machine, i.e., approximately in the direction of the front line thereof ; the machines for the subsequent treatment of the threads may be arranged in the longitudinal direction or in the depth of the thread-forming machine or in both these directions. As shown in Figs. 1 and 5 two or three cross-winding devices k disposed laterally of the left and right-hand side walls 210 of a spinning machine and after the bobbin cores 7 have been filled by the operation of the flyers 5, the bobbin rail s<SP>1</SP> is placed on a guide 17 of the doffing mechanism by lowering the base 9. The loaded rail is then brought, by operating a gear 19 meshing with a rack 20 on the guide 17, into the position s<SP>2</SP> for serving the cross-winding devices and the threads from the filled bobbins are guided over pins 40 and rollers 41, 31, approximately in the longitudinal direction of the spinning machine, to the traverse members of the cross-winding devices ; additional guides may be provided on the walls 210 of the spinning machines.
