Abstract
524,910. Axial flow compressors. DELA.- CUVELLERIE, E. Feb. 10, 1939, No. 4447. Convention date, March 1, 1938. [Class 110 (i)] In addition to the fixed guide blades 4 downstream of the running blades 1, the discharge of the compressor, between the casing 6 and a fairing 5, is divided by a number of guide plates 8. These plates may be axial with backturned portions near the running blades, or, may be helical with or without an increasing pitch so as to guide the delivery into an axial direction. The plates may extend the whole width of the delivery passage or be supported with edges at a short distance from one or both of the walls 5, 6.
