Abstract
524,692. Treating textile materials &c. with liquids. CASSE, M. Feb. 3, 1939, No. 3616. Convention date, Feb. 9, 1938. [Class 15 (i)] Apparatus for treating textile materials and articles with liquids, in which a propeller in the base of a vat circulates the liquid either way through a central tube, is provided with means whereby different tubes and other fittings may be used for varying treatments. The propeller 10, Fig. 1, is driven by a shaft 9 proiecting through the base of the vat, and the central tube 24 is removably mounted on a ring 11 supported by arms 12. A perforated, false bottom 21 is also removably fixed to the ring 11 and to an outer ring 5 to which the side of the vat is secured. As shown, a deflector 35 and perforated plate 32 are carried by a central rod 28 removably fixed to an arm 25. Fig. 2 shows a form in which a conical deflector 42 and a perforated cone 44, with a perforated, cylindrical extension 45, slide in the tube 24. In a variation of this form a number of concentric deflectors are provided. The central tube may be perforated and fitted with fixed and removable flanges between which a length of material is wound, the tube being closed at the top.
