Abstract

522,395. Stapling. GRAUDING, K. R. L. Dec. 7, 1938, No. 35728. Convention date, Dec. 8, 1937. [Class 89 (iii)] In a hand tool for stapling, the driver or die 11 is detachably secured to the plunger 3, and several dies with different striking edges are provided, so that the cross-bar of the driven staple may be flat, humped, depressed, or serrated. The lower end of the plunger is,slit to ,form resilient tongues 9, 10 between which the die is secured by a screw 12. The casing 1, which has a liner 4a, has a slot 14 to give access to the screw when the die is tb be changed, and to a hole 13 in the die which is engageable by a suitable tool to draw the die from the slit.
