Abstract

522,216. Bedclothing, NAUMKEAG STEAM COTTON CO. Dec. 8, 1938, No. 35820. Convention date, Jan. 21. [Class 142 (iv)] Bedsheets are cut from sheeting 1 having a width equal to the length of the sheets. The cut sides are hemmed. The margins of the sheeting which form the top and bottom of the sheets are woven with portions 13, 14 of a width and thickness corresponding with the usual hems and are separated from the body of the sheet by narrow bands 7 having a distinctive weave, e.g., openwork. The thickened porions 13, 14 may be two-ply and may have lettering &c. woven in. There may be a plain selvedge 12 beyond the portions 13, 14. Parts of the body of the sheet may be strengthened by extra or stronger warp and/or weft threads.
