Abstract
439,219. Double-ply garment fabrics. PFERDMENGES, H., Giessenkirchen, near Rheydt, Germany. April 30, 1934, No. 3067/35. Divided out of 423,428. [Class 142 (iv)] Relates to fabrics having a lower ply 1 of relatively thick widely spaced threads 3, 4 and an upper ply of finer closely spaced threads 5, 6 as described in Specification 423,428, so as to permit the passage of air and light without being transparent. The lower ply comprises spaced groups of warp or weft threads in combination respectively with weft or warp threads arranged singly or in groups. Each group may, as shown, comprise two warp and two weft threads 3, 4 interwoven together. The threads in the upper ply may extend all over the lower ply, or may, as shown, be arranged in spaced groups situated in the spaces between the threads in the lower ply.
