Abstract

521,088. Fountain-pens. KEEN, A. J., and KIMBERLEY, W. H. April 11, 1939, No. 10874. [Class 146 (iii)] In a fountain pen comprising a plurality of ink containers incorporated in a single holder, each container having its own pen nib so arranged that any nib can be brought into use, the nibs are arranged at an inclination to one another so that the nib not in use does not obstruct the view of the nib to use. Two semi - cylindrical barrels 1, 2 each have a plug 3 with feed bar 13 and a semi-circular plug 5 with similar head 6. The two heads 6 together form a threaded neck for the cap 7 which unites the two barrels, connected by a pin- and-slot connection not shown, to form a single penholder with cover cap 14. Each barrel has a filler spring 8 and plunger 9. the plungers being protected by cap 7. The nuts are arranged back-to-back and inclined. The barrels are easily separable for filling and may be filled with differently-coloured inks.
