Fountain-pen barrels and caps; inkstands. - One or more grooves or notches M are formed across the screw-threads of either or both the cap and barrel of a fountain pen or other liquid receptacle to facilitate removal of sediment therefrom during application of the cap, the grooves being so arranged that the cap is incapable of direct axial movement, but must be screwed into or out of position.
