This invention relates to improvements in caps for pens, penholders and similar articles. For this purpose, I have provided a ea p, such as the usual fountain pen cap, in the upper part of which I provide two reser- Hill's for the eradicator, such reservoirs having improved closers at their tops, and from which closers depend two spreaders by which the eradicutor is applied when desired. A suitable screw cap is provided to fit over the closers to keep the same liquid tight.
Other details and objects. will suggest themselves as the description proceeds, and
do not limit myself to the uses and details specially mentioned sincc various changes may be made without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention as claimed. particularly to the the peneap shown applied to a fountain pen Fig. 2 is an axial sectional view of the device, Fig. 3 is a transverse sectional view taken on the line 55 of Fig. 2.
vided with separate covers 20 and 21 having 24 and 25 inserted therein the spreaders respectively.
Attachment for th The top part of the pen-cap 10 is provided with external screw-threads for engagement wlththe internally threaded screw-cap 12. Upon placing the threaded screw-cap 12 in engagement with the threaded part of e'pen-cap 10 and tightening the same, this screw-cap forces the closers 20 and liquid tight engagement with the tops of the receptacles l5 and 16.
In the device, the terminal cap is removed and the liquids used one after the other by the covers 20 or 21 as a handle and rubbing the spreader on the paper.
claim:
1. A pen cap comprising, a tubular body having a pair of upper receptacles of substantially semi-circular cross-section and a 21 into single partition therebetween; a pair of flanged covers received in the upper ends of the receptacles respectively; a spreader depending from-each cover; and a cap having threaded engagement with said body and pressing the top of said covers and forcing the flanges into tight engagement with the top of the receptacles.
2. A device of the character described, comprising a tubular body having a pair of upper receptacles of substantially semi-circular cross-section and a single partition therebetween; a pair of flanged covers received in the upper ends of the receptacles respectively; a spreader depending from each cover; a means engaging with said body and pressing the top of said covers and forcing the flanges into tight engagement with the top of the receptacles.
In testimony whereof, I have signed my name to this specification in the presence oftwo subscrlbing witnesses.
