520,970. Lubricating - compositions. COLBETH. I. M. Nov. 5, 1938, No. 32104. [Class 91] A lubricating-composition consists of a major proportion of mineral oil and a minor proportion of an ester of a non-drying long-chain aliphatic acid obtained from a natural oil and having at least 11 carbon atoms, and a short-chain primary saturated aliphatic alcohol having not more than 2 hydroxyl groups, the composition being substantially free from fatty oils and emulsifying agents. Esters of cocoanut oil fatty acid and methyl alcohol, cotton-seed oil fatty acid and ethyl alcohol, ricinoleic acid and methyl alcohol, oleic acid and ethylene glycol are mentioned.
