519,213. Thermal switches. THERMA ELECTRIC HEATING MANUFACTURING CO., Ltd., Sept. 17, 1938, No. 27194. Convention date, Aug. 10. [Class 38 (v)] [Also in Group XI] An electric hot plate 1 having resistance elements 2 embedded in its lower surface has a temperature regulator 6 comprising a bimetallic strip 5 or other temperature-operated switchactuating member carried by a block 4 extending from the underside of the hot plate so that the switch-actuating member is heated both by conduction through the block and by radiation from the refractory material forming the underside of the hot plate. The switch-actuating- member preferably extends across heating coils appertaining to different heating stages.
