514,263. Master control of D.C. motors : controllers. BRITISH THOMSON - HOUSTON CO., Ltd. April 28, 1938, No. 12722. Convention date, April 28, 1937. Drawings to Specification. [Class 38 (iii)] In a motor control system comprising a master controller movable between running, braking, coasting positions for selectively connecting a resistance in an accelerating or braking circuit, and wherein a relay is provided for controlling the motor current, means are provided responsive to movement of the master controller between coasting and braking positions for inserting a calibrating resistance in the relay circuit so as to alter the setting of the relay to maintain nominal braking current during coasting and effective braking current during braking. The invention is described in detail with reference to a control system of the same general character as that described in Specification 513,114. Specification 456,123 also is referred to.
