Abstract

Master control systems.-A 8e', of resistance contactors R1--R6 can either close automatically in sequence under the control of a two-wire notching relay N, or non-automatically according to successive steps of a master controller K. The change from automatic to non-automatic control is brought about by moving a two-position switch R, which, in the example shown, forms part of the motor reversing - switch and acts through relays S3 - - S6, either to connect the contactor operating coils to the two wires of the notching-relay or to connect them independently of the notching-relay to the mastercontroller contacts.
