Systems for continuous-current motors only; master control systems.-A relay responsive to back electromotive force renders acceleration possible beyond a predetermined speed, and in slowing down remakes connections for enabling lower speeds to be reached. The invention is described in relation to a master controller N and a number of electromagnetic contactors A.. . F for a motor M having series resistances and diverter resistances. In acceleration, the last step of the series resistance is short circuited by the contactor D when the master controler is turned to position 5, on condition that a relay G having its coil connected across the motor terminals has previously moved from the upper positions to the lower positions. In deceleration, the diverter resistance contactor A is closed when the master controller comes to position 2, provided that the relay G has returned to the upper position shown.
