Abstract

[Classes 64 (i) and 123 (iii)] Steam generated in a boiler 1 is purified and dried by passing it through bubble scrubbers 7 containing clean feedwater and then over gutter-shaped baffles the front rows 5 of which are wetted either by the spray carried over from the scrubbers or by feedwater flowing downwards from feed-supply receivers 3 to the scrubbers.
