Abstract
512,046. Ventilated footwear. ROSELLI, G., and BRANDIGI, T. Nov. 23, 1937, No. 32216. Void. Convention date, Nov. 25, 1936. [Class 17 (ii)] One or more ducts or grooves b on the inner face of a piece of material a such as rubber secured to the outside of a shoe upper at the side or back are in communication at their upper ends with the atmosphere and at their lower ends through an opening in the upper adjacent the sole with channels under a perforated insole. The material may, as shown, be secured along its sides a<1> to the shoe upper leaving the top edge open, or the top edge too may be secured to the upper, one or more transverse grooves being provided for the ingress of air to the ducts or grooves. The material a may be placed inside the boot and extend to its upper edge, particularly in the case of top boots.
