[Class 88 (ii)] The pedal 5 of a cymbal-beater is combined with means for controlling the snare of other tone-modifying appliance of a drum. Movement of the heel sideways on to a lever 8 releases or applies one of the snares 1, 2 through a Bowden wire 9, 10 and lever 3 or 4, while still permitting actuation of the cymbal. The attachments of the Bowden wire to the drum and snare-lever at 19, 18 respectively are readily disconnectible. Normally the top snare is "off" and the bottom snare " on."
