Abstract

509,629. Viewing-apparatus. MORELLI, E. Feb. 23, 1938, No. 5698. [Class 97 (i)] Reflecting-apparatus for observing radiographic or other diascopic pictures comprises a casing 1 . formed by two substantially triangular side walls, an inclined front wall 2 provided with a window 3 in which the picture is placed, and an inclined rear wall 2<1> having a window for observing the picture by reflection in an adjustable mirror 17 pivoted in the lower part of the casing. The window 3 is closed by a fixed glass &c. plate 4 behind which is another glass &c. plate 5 mounted in a frame 12 hinged at its lower edge 7. The frame 12 rests on rollers 10 mounted on levers 9 which are pivoted at 11 and connected at their lower ends by tension springs 13 to fixed points 14, so that the frarrie can be turned about'the hinge 7 for the insertion of a picture,. and will return to its closed position, under the action of the springs 13, when released. The mirror 17 is mounted on a rotatable spindle 19 and can be held in any desired angular position by a nut 22. An opaque hinged flap 6 can be adjusted to limit the luminous field of the window 3.
