Abstract

161,428. Menon, V. R. March 22, 1920. Dark-rooms, darkboxes, and the like.- In a combination desk and cabinet, the cabinet portion which may be used as a dark room has a hinged vertical front 4 which can be held by struts 6 in a suitable position to form a desk, the cabinet being vertically adjustable on uprights 1. The adjusting means comprise spring-pressed bolts 9, passing about slots 10, and carrying serrated heads 9<1> which engage serrated plates 11, but which can be .disengaged therefrom by actuating the levers 16 through the handles 17. An adjustable foot-board 19 may be provided, and struts 6, 6<*> of different lengths, may be used to support the front 4 at various inclinations. The cabinet portion may be used as a dark-room, and for this purpose is provided with apertures 36 within which shutters, or sleeve attachments 40 may be secured, and a non-actinic window 35, together with an adjustable easel 42, a negative holder 46 and a reflector 48 for enlarging.
