1,186,246. Optical projection advertising. G. POWELL. 18 Nov., 1968 [27 Nov., 1967], No. 53937/67. Heading G5C. [Also in Division G2] A cabinet with a back-projection screen 3 is provided with a pivoted carrier 11 for an optical projector (not shown) coupled by means 12, 13 to a rear panel 8 which supports a mirror 10. In use the projector extends partly out of the back of the cabinet (for ventilation purposes), projection being via the mirror; when not in use, panel 8 (which is hinged) is closed, thus causing the projector to be tucked away in the cabinet. As described there are three mirrors 9, 16 and 10, and the projection beam is reflected off them in that order. Mirror 16 is supported by a panel 17 which swings up against the front panel 2 when back panel 8 is closed shut. The film used is a closed loop.
